Hollie Kavanagh was crowned the Junior Handler of the Year 2008 at the end of 80 nail-biting minutes during the UK final, which took place at Discover Dogs held at Earls Court in London.

Members of the Young Kennel Club dazzled the crowds at London’s leading dog event, Discover Dogs, over the weekend in a variety of competitions. Several talented youngsters excelled and secured a place to compete at the world’s biggest dog show, Crufts, next year.

Indi, aged 11 ½ from Walsall, West Midlands, has been named overall Best Dog in the grand final of the Companion Dog Club competition at London’s leading dog event, Discover Dogs.

It was raining dogs all weekend at Earls Court, but a cute canine called Jaffa shone above the competition to become the Scruffts Family Crossbreed Dog of the Year.

The prestigious Junior Handler of the Year Final will take place at London’s leading dog event, Discover Dogs 2008, this weekend for the first time.

The final will bring together 14 of the best young dog handlers from around the UK, aged from 6 to 16, who must demonstrate their dog handling ability and rapport with not only their own, but an unfamiliar dog as well.

Having been one of the highlights of Discover Dogs for several years now, the Companion Dog Club Competition is set to once again warm up London’s premier dog event, Discover Dogs 2008.
